2019-2020: Skystone

This year, FTC 4345 competed at three qualifiers. We won the Motivate Award and First-Runner-Up Inspire award at the Daly City Qualifier and advanced to NorCal Regionals, where we were the Finalist Alliance Captain in the Gold Division.

​We also streamlined our design process throughout this season. We decided to focus on custom-built parts this year more than previous years because they are customizable and more germane than TETRIX parts. Since we have access to multiple 3D printers, the whole team worked to become familiar with CAD throughout the season, collaborating through Fusion 360’s inbuilt cloud-sharing system. The whole design process going from basic prototypes to complex, efficient subsystems to a functioning robot and can be seen in our CAD documentation.

2018-2019: Rover Ruckus

in 2018-2019, FTC 4345 competed at three qualifiers. At the Saratoga QT, we got 2nd-Runner-up Innovate and Motivate awards. At the Belmont QT, we got First-Runner-Up Innovate, Inspire, and Think awards. Finally, at the Daly City QT, we got the First-Runner-Up Inspire award and won the Motivate award. 

With our newly structured program this year, we were able to turn a lot of focus on our engineering notebook, business plan, and outreach programs. Our spirit also flourished this year. Although we did not receive a lottery spot to attend regionals, this year started a very successful phase for FTC 4345.
